The Swashbuckler guitar strap combines the design elements of our 2-inch model with the 1 and 1/8-inch version.

This is a tribute to the origins of heavy metal rock and roll. The most classic of classic designs. The solid pyramid belt. Worn by every rock star to ever grace a stage. We call it the new British steel because the originals were packed so tight you couldn't flex them backwards and it kind of forced the strap to only bend in One direction. If you have one of the old fashioned belts you will know what I mean. When I redesigned the stud patterns to have a little Gap in between each stud it allowed the leather to flex making the strap much more comfortable to wear.

Crafted from ultra-soft leather, the 2-inch width offers the comfort you’ve come to expect from Al Bane for Leather, while the 11/8-inch width ensures that your guitar remains free from obstruction when playing high frets on the neck.

This innovative design was inspired by our friend Tony Higbee, who favored the striking 'Swashbuckling' D-ring.

During the creation of Tony's original strap, our friend Brad Wolfman, also known as Critter, requested a similar design but with decorations reminiscent of our JD 1 and 1/8-inch guitar strap.

In the sample-making phase, this project was temporarily titled "Higbee's Critter," but eventually, the name Critters Swashbuckler prevailed.

This guitar strap is fully adjustable from 50 to 61 inches.
featuring a robust 2 in double prong harness buckle along with a gromented Billet.
The d-ring is mounted 11 inches up from the front of the guitar giving the 1-in section plenty of room to swing.
The hardware is Silver on black leather.
If you thought our guitar straps were comfortable before wait until you try the swashbuckler. I guarantee you will be surprised.
Like anything we produce our products are all handcrafted by American Craftsman in Los Angeles California.
