The Swashbuckler torment silver on black guitar strap combines the design elements of our 2-inch model with the 1 and 1/8-inch version.
Crafted from ultra-soft leather, the 2-inch width offers the comfort you’ve come to expect from Al Bane for Leather, while the 1 and 1/8-inch width ensures that your guitar remains free from obstruction when playing high frets on the neck.
This guitar strap is inspired by my friend Grace. Grace was extremely dedicated to her wasp tribute band. She wanted to be the most well-prepared tribute band in the history of the world..
She asked me to make her a tormentor or guitar strap. The unfortunate fact is that Grace is a very small stature woman. A 3-in guitar strap was simply uncomfortable and not very useful for her. I designed a narrower version to accommodate her small shoulder. They say that necessity is the mother of invention. Let me introduce to you the Swashbuckler Grace's Torment silver on black.
This innovative design was inspired by our friend Tony Higbee, who favored the striking 'Swashbuckling' D-ring.
During the creation of Tony's original strap, our friend Brad Wolfman, also known as Critter, requested a similar design but with decorations reminiscent of our JD 1 and 1/8-inch guitar strap.
In the sample-making phase, this project was temporarily titled "Higbee's Critter," but eventually, the name Critters Swashbuckler prevailed.
