This is our most popular guitar strap. It's made of our composite leathers cut at 1 and 1/8 of an inch and width.
Do not let the width fool you.
Narrow guitar straps are more comfortable than wide ones. (I know you're scratching your head and disbelief at the moment but if you allow me I will explain.)
Think about the anatomy of your shoulder.
The top of your shoulder has a little valley in it where the trapezius meets the deltoid.
This is the space where the thin guitar strap fits. A wider guitar strap will bridge that space and put two pressure points on your shoulder One on your trapezius and one on your tip of your deltoid.
When you move your neck a wider guitar's strap will get pushed away and you'll need to reposition it. If you raise your arm it will push the guitar strap into your neck, again requiring you to reposition it.
The next thing we have to talk about is the width of the leather and its ability to withstand stress.
Our guitar straps are made of a composite leather.
The body of the strap is made from hand selected upholstery leathers that we laminate together a lot like plywood is laminated.
The ends where the guitar mounts are made out of a heavy duty latigo leather.
We use a ton of adhesive to bond it all together and then stitch it with the heaviest thread available on the market.
We use eight individual threads to sew this strap together and each thread is able to withstand 200 lb of static weight. That's 1600 lb of static weight that this product can hold. Your 12 lb guitar has nothing to worry about.
If you don't believe me ask the countless guitar players that use our product everyday.
Until you try it you won't believe me.
Here's the deal. The ergonomics doesn't lie. The tensile strength of our product won't fail.
The only bummer is that there's not a whole lot of space for blinging.
So, if you want a really comfortable guitar strap that's minimalistic this is the answer you've been looking for.
